Inês Costa

Portugal / 13/01/1987

Like most of us, Ines started drawing since she could grab a pencil. Paper, her parents’ walls and occasionally her own skin were her favourite canvas but she never stopped drawing and in 2009 she graduated in Stage Design. She worked in Stage Design in Lisbon and in Puppet Theatres in Sao Paulo, where she finished her studies.

After that she moved to Barcelona to keep studying and telling stories through Stage Design but an unfortunate event made her change her route. She started occasionally working as an illustrator and in 2013, 6 months after she moved to Berlin, she started working as a full-time illustrator for a mobile app, where she stayed until 2017.

Since then she works as a freelance illustrator in her little home studio in Berlin. She loves to play with color combinations and textures.

Occasionally she gets lost in the Natural History Museum and reading graphic novels.
